Hackathon at JOTB2019: "And the winner is ..."
It was a great experience for us to host this year a hackathon at the J on the Beach conference in Marbella. We would like to thank all the participants and organizing team to make this event unforgetable. After one day of hackathon we present the nomination results:
The winner of the hackathon @JOTB19 is the team Marbellous. The solution of measuring the hapiness of #jotb19 conference attendees over the years convinced the jury. Within one day the team was able to set up and get to know the idea behind the ROXcomposer microservices framework, learned how to develop microservices and create pipelines to process and analyse the data. And finally to create a dashboard showing the mood of the J on the beach conference participants over the last years. The analysis of the mood was accomplished using the sentiment analysis service created by the team. The data is classified based on the 5-sclale, from very unappy to very happy. The team Vodka Juniors was nominated as the winner of the category "Most technically advanced solution". The team worked on the solution of predicting most popular and relevant topics for the next JOTB2020 conference.
In the category "Most unique solution", the team "Popcorn-Timers" was nominated as a winner. They worked on the topic of geografical distribution of conference attendees.
